Its rooms are beautifully maintained and romantic with standing shower and nice interior decorations, for instance as advertised. The hotel is comfortably located just next door to the DXB airport, friendly staff, clean rooms and easy access from the metro station, metro, restaurants and cafes, and taxi and 10'walk to green line metro station.

We had a wonderful experience at the Marco Polo hotel. The staff were very attentive and extremely helpful! They best part of our stay had to be the restaurants. The Bombay (Indian) and Chopstix (Chinese) served up big sizes of delicious food. It was great to have such fine restaurants within the hotel.
I just wish they had bathrobes :)

This place suits me perfectly! With great amenities like free wi-fi, 24-hour reception, and a lovely outdoor swimming pool, I always feel welcomed. The staff once helped with my elderly parents. Akshay's excellent service was nice too. Highly recommend it!

It was very easy for me to get around because of the Filipina hotel staff. The hotel in general is really nice. I like the room lighting and the electronic panel they put on the wall for USB, laptop, internet connection, audio/video.
The bath tub does not have the rubber stopper to bathe. The lotion doesn't smell good.

I've selected Marco Polo Hotel, after reviewing hundreds of other hotels in this crazy city. Main reason was price for the most likely nice hotel. No mistake there. First of all I would like to say that trip from airport to hotel is quick and convenient. It is possible to get there from Terminal 1 by using metro or taxi. Metro is convenient and cheap. Fast and reliable! Can't say taxi is not, but be advised that for Metro you will spend $1 while for taxi ride it is around $12. Taxi will take you faster though. Count about 7-10 minutes by taxi and 15 for Metro (you will have to get out at Union Station and take trip to Al Salahadin street and walk 250 meters to the hotel) Hotel Marco Polo is in Deira area and is surrounded by not too many westerners, although as soon as I stepped in to the Hotel I could see some westerners hanging around. Deira is not the newest area of Dubai if you know what I mean, but still feels safe to walk around and shop if you are in for cheap Chinese merchandise. Btw, Deira City Center is not far away and that one is all you need for shopping. Hotel itself looks pretty new from outside, the hallway is little bit old, still cozy. Staff greeted me nicely and with the smile. Reception personnel were very professional and no issues with my check in, which went really fast. They all speak very good English. I asked for bucket of ice and it was in my room in less than 3 minutes.
Only thing I did not like is smell of shower curtains – which is disgusting. Positive: As soon as I entered the room I was very surprised how nice it looked. It is nothing of extravagant place, but it is so nicely decorated that I was impressed. Great job. Mini bar, coffee/tea, tv, bed, - everything is fine and fits in very nicely in to the small single room. I felt great in this room. But the thing that impressed me the most was the lights set up and AC is very good. I didn’t notice much of noise from close by airport. Did not use internet in the room; used one in the coffee shop and that was pricey. Prices in minibar are reasonable and I would say much less pricey then in other hotels. TV channels are Russian, Chinese, Arabic and not too many European. Air Conditioning is not loud and operating is easy and response is fast. Restaurants and clubs inside and around the hotel are pretty nice. Thing that I liked the most are “day/night” curtains that you can operate from your bed. You can even close them enough so no light is coming in to your room. Which is convenient for day sleeper. All in all, hotel is nice with knowledgeable stuff that speaks good English. Room was above my expectations. Would recommend for budget travelers to Dubai.

The staff were very nice, accommodating our needs perfectly, especially with our little baby. It was a highlight of our stay!
In my wife's opinion, a few more family-friendly dining options would enhance the experience.

The friendly efficient service from the staff. WiFi connection is excellent all throughout the hotel. The food outlets - especially the award wining Indian and Chinese restaurants. The efficient valet and bell service. The live entertainment at the pub, especially the Russian band, was very interesting. Marco Polo may not belong to a big hotel chain but they strive very hard to keep every customer content and happy.
There are no door closers on the main guest room doors. The doors do not close automatically when you leave the room and this is a security risk. The hotel lock is mounted on a cheap latch with no deadbolt override - you cannot double lock your room from the inside for added security. This seems to have been done on the cheap. The fittings in the newly renovated bathrooms looks very cheap and has already tarnished. The knobs on the bathroom doors are very old fashioned and are not disable friendly. The shower curtain in the bathtub sticks to your body when you are having a shower. The Polo executive club lobby is a joke. If you need a coke or any kind of snacks, you have to pay for it. Even if you are staying as a Polo Club executive room, they will still charge you for using the printer - DH 2 per sheet. If you need a coffee, then you are either charged or they need special permission from the management. It is a very badly managed asset and I have not seen many customers using the Polo lounge. Chop Stix, although the food is very delicious, the extractor fans in the kitchen does not work well or they may bought a very cheap solution. When the chef fries food, the smoke creeps into the guest sitting area creating a lot of discomfort.
